The Responsible Conduct of Gambling course focuses on harm minimisation requirements, detection of problem gambling, the proper communication with and management of patrons using gaming machines, and ensuring that minors (people under 18 years of age) are not permitted to use the gaming machines Successful applicants will obtain approved certification from the Liquor Administration Board.

Introduction

If you're going to work in a registered club or hotel and your duties involve gaming machines, you must complete competency training in the Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG). If you don't have valid evidence that you've completed the RCG training required for working with gaming machines, you could be fined.

You'll need to be trained by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) approved by Liquor & Gaming NSW. You can find an approved RTO through the Liquor & Gaming NSW website.

Once you've undertaken your training, you'll need to Apply for an RSA or RCG photo competency card if you don't already have one.
